Junior World Entrepreneurship Forum, Pune

Europe Asia Business School (EABS) located in Pune, India hosted the latest Junior World Entrepreneurship Forum. During two days, on September 3rd and 4th, the Junior Forum gathered students and prominent names from Indian industry around the topic of "Shaping the World of 2050: the Entrepreneurial Impact".

The Junior World Entrepreneurship Forum of Pune was organized around three themes: Entrepreneurship at the Bottom of the Pyramid; Future Entrepreneurs; and Women Entrepreneurship. Many ideas arose through panel discussions, student presentations and workshops.

Junior World Entrepreneurship Forums

From June, 28th to July, 2nd, 3 Junior Forums are held simultaneously in different countries : France (Lyon), China (Shanghai), and Singapore. Another one will take place in Pune (India) in early September.

To be able to bring out ideas and recommendations, students organize a 3-days or 1-week event dedicated to workshops, visits and conferences around the topic of "Shaping the World of 2050: the Entrepreneurial Impact".

During a press conference, the Board announced several developments for 2010 and officially launched the 1st White Paper and a new logo for the World Entrepreneruship Forum, designed by MGA 361 Group.

In a program called "microSCOPE", students of EABS adopt several small road-side vendors. The National Policy on Urban Street Vendors, 2009 recognizes street vendors, hawkers, pheriwallas, rehri-patri wallas, footpath vendors, sidewalk traders as an integral and legitimate part of the urban retail trade and distribution system. On the completion of India's 60 years, EABS along with Young Indians (YI) and the World Entrepreneurship Forum has adopted 15 urban street-vendors.
