Sebastien Guillaud

Co-founder and Managing Director of Hera Capital

Sebastien is co-founder and Managing Director of Hera Capital. Sebastien has accumulated 17 years of leadership experience growing, running and turning around various companies in both MNC and start-up environments across Europe, Latin America and Asia.
  
Sebastien is the founder and CEO of Soft Venture, an advisory and investment management firm assisting high-growth potential companies accelerate in Asia. Hera Capital is now the result of the 50/50 merger between Soft Venture and Hera Capital Partners in March 2012.
  
Prior to starting Soft Venture, Sebastien was running Welcome Real-time, a 100+ people marketing and payment software company allowing banks and retailers to identify, reward and influence the behavior of their payment cards holders in real-time at the Point Of Sales. Under his leadership as CEO, Welcome was transformed from a 20-persons start-up in France to a an award-winning 120+ staffed world leader in software payment, with overall revenues from USD2.0M to USD+20M, serving Fortune500 banks in over 30 countries. In June 2007, Sebastien successfully drove and executed the trade sale of Welcome Real-time to one of the largest European Private Equity firms for more than USD 50M.
 
Sebastien started the first 7 years of his career holding key financial controller and finance director positions in the automotive industry at Valeo, in France, Mexico and Brazil before joining Seamply.com, an e-commerce start-up based in Paris, in an effort to expand and turn around business. After one year, the company achieved break-even. Sebastien successfully secured two rounds of fund raising to accelerate growth through the execution of two M&A operations.
 
Sebastien is a member of the World Entrepreneurship Forum Think-Tank, and holds a Masters in Management from EM Lyon, a leading European Business School. He speaks French, English, Spanish, Portuguese and some German. He has been living in Singapore since June 2004.
