Den Huan Hooi

Director of Nanyang Technopreneurship Center, Nanyang Technological University

Dr. Den Huan Hooi is the Director of the Nanyang Technopreneurship Center and an Associate Professor at the Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Dr. Hooi is Chairman of the Executive Board, Asia Marketing Federation Foundation and a SME Committee member of CPA ( Australia), Singapore branch. He was a Marketing Teacher of the Year in NTU and has conducted seminars for MNCs including GE, Panasonic, Philips, 3M, Roche, IBM; Government such as the Ministry of Manpower, Home Team Academy, SAF Command and Staff Course and SME/Regional firms such as GEP, Mamee, MarkPlus etc.

Dr. Hooi was a Visiting Scholar at the Sloan School of Management, MIT and he completed the case teaching method programme at Harvard Business School.Together with Philip Kotler and Hermawan Kartajaya, they co-authored two bestselling books (1) “Rethinking Marketing” (also with Sandra Liu) and (2) “Think ASEAN!”

The trio formed an NPO, the Philip Kotler Center for ASEAN Marketing which will be opening arguably the world’s first Marketing and Sales Museum, on May 27, 2011, in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia.
