Mr. Arun Kang is an equality and diversity expert, working in the field for many years and has gained two academic degrees in the subject area. Mr. Kang's career has spanned both public and private sectors.
He has vast experience and knowledge in engaging diverse communities, ranging from his time as a youth worker to becoming a director of a race equality council. Arun's career includes working for a Local Authority as Head of Race Equality. After several years in the public sector Arun re-entered The Third Sector and in his role as Chief Executive of Sporting Equals brings together his "two major passions in life", diversity and sport. Mr.Kang enjoys participating in sport particularly team and racket sports.
Sporting Equals exists to promote ethnic diversity across sport and physical activity, and is the only organisation in the UK to do so. Originally set up in 1998 by Sport England, in partnership with the Commission for Racial Equality, we are now a fully independent body with a well-established mission.
