Nathaly Riverin

Nathaly Riverin is a graduate of the Entrepreneurship Development Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She has a DEA in management with a specialization in corporate strategy from the Institut d’administration des entreprises in Aix‑en‑Provence (1996), a Masters degree in economics from Laval University and a Bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Sherbrooke. From 1996 to 2002, she was an Assistant Professor at HEC Montréal, where she taught small business management, and was a lecturer in economics at the University of Quebec in Chicoutimi (UQAC). From 2002 to 2007, Ms Riverin became the Canadian representative on the Board of Directors of the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) on behalf of the Rogers–J.A. Bombardier Chair of Entrepreneurship at HEC Montréal. She was also Vice‑President of the Fondation de l’entrepreneurship (FDE) until 2010, during which time she established the Fondation’s first Centre de vigie et de recherche sur la culture entrepreneuriale (CVRCE) in July 2004. The Centre sponsored several applied studies on entrepreneurship, particularly, ten highly innovative projects on entrepreneurship, including an entrepreneurial community project, an observatory of entrepreneurial practices, the FDE documentation centre, the CVRCE newsletter, the Carrefour des pratiques entrepreneuriales de la Francophonie and the Indice entrepreneurial québécois.

 

Ms Riverin currently heads the only school for entrepreneurs in Quebec, of which the objective is to develop a Quebec entrepreneurial elite. Along with her team, she develops and administers training programs designed to propel entrepreneurs to the next level.

 

Ms Riverin is currently a member of the board of directors of the Concours québécois en entrepreneuriat. She has been a member of the board of directors of the Canadian Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (CCSBE) and has also served as a judge or advisory member on various committees concerned with entrepreneurship. To date, she has given over one hundred lectures and published numerous articles in scientific journals, daily newspapers and magazines on the topic of entrepreneurship.

 

In short, Nathaly Riverin is a true entrepreneur promoting entrepreneurship.
