Paijit Sangchai is CEO & Founder of Flexoresearch Group, a Thai company, which is the Technology Pioneer 2011 in clean tech category of the World Economic Forum, and is selected by TIME magazine to be one of 10 start ups that will change your life.
He got a diploma in Analytical Chemistry, Ministry of Science, Technology and Energy, Thailand, in 1991, got a bachelor degree in General Science, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand in 1993 and got a master degree in Packaging Science, Rochester Institute of Technology, USA in 1997.
He used to work with SCG Paper, the biggest paper and packaging manufacture in Thailand during 1993-2007 in many job functions included R&D Manager, Chief of Flexo Technology Centre; Quality Assurance Manager, and Production Manager.
Since 2007, he resigned from SCG Paper and has started his own company, Flexoresearch Group, with a vision to be the leading R&D service provider for pulp, paper, printing and packaging, material composites, and waste recycle industries, with own intellectual properties, included 6 patents and 2 trade secrets.
Recipient of awards including 2008 Bronze in environment category from Taipei Innovation Show and Technomart, 2009 First Runner-Up in economic category from Thailand National Innovation Award competition. 2009 Gold in renewable resources category from Malaysian ITEX (Invention Technology Exhibition), 2010 Technology Transfer Excellence from AABI (Asian Association of Business Incubation) TORCH Entrepreneur Award China, 2010 Excellence award from ASPA (Asian Science Park Association) Korea, and 2010 Gold in renewable resources category from Malaysian ITEX (Invention Technology Exhibition).
In 2010, his article, a success story of climate change innovator, is selected to be published on the Climate Change Program website of InfoDev, World Bank.
He is now a visiting lecturer serving many academic institutes, including Chulalongkorn university (Nano Engineering Program), Thammasat university (MBA Program), King Mongkut Institute of Technology (Industrial Technology Program) and Ramkamhaeng university (SME Program).
He is a member of TPPIA (Thai Pulp and Paper Industries Association) and alumni member of Asian Productivity Organization.
