Tamara Abdel-Jaber is a co-founder and an executive board member at Palma. As Executive Board Member, she is responsible for strategy, corporate governance, performance management and business development. Tamara is a member of the Young Arab Leaders, a pan-Arab organization with the mandate to spread modern leadership values and fostering the development of future Arab leaders. Additionally, she currently serves on the board of the Institute of Management Consultants and Trainers – Jordan and serves for the second term as the board chairperson.
Tamara was recently selected to take part in the 2009 Fortune/ U.S. State Department Global Women Mentoring Partnership where she was mentored by c-level executives at Accenture in New York and Chicago. She participated and spoke at the 2009 Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit in San Diego, USA. She also participated as a member of the Official Middle East delegation to the Global Women’s Forum in Deauville, France in Oct 2009. Tamara was recently selected to participate in the Presidential Entrepreneurship Summit in Washington D.C., USA.
In recognition to Tamara’s contribution to spark business innovation and entrepreneurship in the MENA region, she has been ranked at number 39 of 100 Most Powerful Arab Women for 2011.
Tamara participated in many national and international conferences, as a lecturer and key-note speaker on the topics of strategic and operational management, as well as business process management. During the past years, Tamara participated in several business related studies in the fields of business valuations using DCF, design of management and reporting systems, review of strategic planning and management systems, process assessments and optimization, definition of requirements for enterprise applications (ERP and CRM) as well as; setup of Balanced Scorecard systems.
Born on June 21st 1976, Tamara Abdel-Jaber graduated from the University of Jordan in Amman, where she received her bachelor degree in Accounting and Finance with honors. And she was certified as a Public Accountant (CPA) in 1997 from Delaware - USA. She started her professional career in 1997, as an accountant at the Computer and Engineering Bureau (CEB). In 1998, she was assigned the Financial Manager position at the CEB Group of companies where she was responsible for financial management, planning and budgeting. And in 2001, as the Chief Planning Officer (Internal Consultant); Tamara worked on strategic planning and budgeting, project management, corporate re-structuring; as well as; performance measurement and management.
In 2002 Tamara co-founded Palma, and started as a Deputy General Manager, responsible for business development, strategy consulting, process management consulting, pre-sales, in addition to coaching and training. Palma currently employs 20+ consultants, has several international alliances and business partners, and is actively providing its consulting services to large organizations across the Arab region.


Fazle Hasan Abed is a social worker, brilliant and visionary. He left his job to devote himself to Bangladesh's War of Independence. Abed initiated the BRAC (Bangladesh Rural Advancement Committee), the largest non-government development organisations in the world in terms of size and diversity of interventions.
BRAC now operates in more than 69 thousand villages of Bangladesh and covers an estimated 110 million people through its development interventions that range from primary education, essential healthcare, agricultural support and human rights and legal services to microfinance and enterprise development.
In 2002, BRAC went international by taking its range of development interventions to Afghanistan. Since then, BRAC has expanded to a total of eight countries across Asia and Africa, successfully adapting its unique integrated development model across varying geographic and socioeconomic contexts.
He has been honoured with many international awards for his achievements within the BRAC, among which: the Ramon Magsaysay Award for Community Leadership (1980); Unicef's Maurice Pate Award (1992); Olof Palme Award (2001); Gates Award for Global Health (2004); Henry R. Kravis Prize in Leadership (2007), World Entrepreneurship Forum’s Entrepreneur for the World award in the category Social Entrepreneur (2009).


FELTA Multi-media inc. turned 45 years old business, founded in 1966 by Mylene's parents, Felicito and Teresita Abiva. Mylene is the President/ CEO, FELTA Multi-Media Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of innovative educational materials for the school Market. FELTA is the ‘Exclusive Distributor’ of LEGO Education and LEGO Early Learning in the Philippines. She is the pioneer in introducing LEGO Robotics in elementary and high schools in the Philippines and the National organizer of the Philippine Robotics Olympiad from 2002 to the present. FELTA is also the trail blazer in introducing Education products.
Mylene is the former president of the Philippine Marketing Association (2009), finalist- ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR Award by Ernst & Young in 2009, finalist in GWAD LIDER Award (Science & Technology) in 2010, first Certified Professional Marketer (CPM) of Marketing Institute of the Philippines in 2011. GO NEGOSYO Movement advocate, she involved in giving talks and mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs in the Philippines. Mylene is also an active member of the Women Business Council of the Philippines.


Nikhil Agarwal is President and Senior partner at Cambridge Global Partners (CGP). Prior, he was Professor of Management and founder Director of Europe Asia Business School.
Dr Agarwal has founded businesses and advised firms on strategic matters in last 15 years of his career. He has worked with global multinationals like Cadbury's, FIC and Zensar (RPG Group). He has lectured at leading universities like Virginia Tech, Univ of Bradford, Univ of Edinburgh and Univ of Cambridge in visiting capacity. His interviews and work has been extensively covered in international media including HBR, CNN Money, BBC Radio, The New York Times to name a few.
He has served on many international think-tanks and hold leadership positions in global organizations. He is serving as high-level-advisor to United Nations Global Alliance on ICT & Development (UNGAID); board member at World-Entrepreneurship-Forum and Open Mind Foundation respectively. He was the first Asian to be elected as Co-Chair of prestigious Internet Society Advisory Council (ISOC-AC) for 2008-10.
He has traveled extensively around the world and worked with global institutions, corporations and multinationals. He has published over 40 research papers, conference publications and articles in leading publications.

Mr. Rajesh Agrawal (34) is the founder of RationalFX, Europe’s leading online foreign exchange and international payments company.

Rajesh has over ten years of experience in IT, currency risk management and commercial foreign exchange. He has been nominated for several awards including Asian Achievers Awards and Lloyds TSB KPMG Awards for Business and Commerce. Rajesh holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance & Marketing, and an MBA in IT & Marketing. Rajesh is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragements of Arts, manufacturers and Commerce (FRSA) and a Charter Member of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE).
Rajesh is also an adept speaker and writer on foreign exchange markets, work philosophy and entrepreneurship.


Ms. Sakie Akiyama is the founder, Chairman and CEO of Saki Co. Ltd., Japan, successfully established a global top-level market position in the industrial robot field. She succeed in developing the innovative automated inspection robot with machine vision technology, which made it possible to change the visual inspection of electronic modules from human eye to machine vision. In the start-up stage, despite the situation that Saki was quite a small company with only two people, Sony decided to adopt Saki robot in the mass production line for “Sony Walkman” in 1997, and expanded since them.
Ms. Sakie Akiyama expanded the business into global market, and has grown to earn 70% of sales from outside Japan, not only in Asia but also Europe and North and South America. She established group companies and offices in 11 countries to build sales and technical service network.
From 2003 to 2009, she was a member of advisory committee member (for tax system) of Japanese Prime Minister. In 2010 she was appointed to become a committee member of Industrial Structure Council of Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).


Hikari Akizawa is a faculty member of Chuo University, a private university in Tokyo, established in 1885, teaching entrepreneurship and knowledge management for nine years. Her research interests are in entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial family business. Dr. Akizawa also has broad professional experiences in the field of entrepreneurship, organizational learning, and knowledge management.

Mr. Mahesh Arumugam founded Alpha Cloud Labs LLC & Pvt Ltd in 2010 and serves as its Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer. Prior to Alpha Cloud, Mr. Arumugam served as VP – Engineering at Citigroup(C) from 2007-2010. He oversaw the engineering and management of Big Data and Enterprise Content Management teams across the consumer business units within Citigroup. In 2008, he was awarded the prestigious Citi Presidents Club , given to 30 outstanding contributors to the organization for innovation and operational excellence. He also served in various senior Software Engineering roles at Citigroup(C) between 2004-2007. Mr. Arumugam served as the Architect for NASA’s Image Characterization and Modelling Sytsem (ICAMS) between 2001-2004. Mr. Arumugam received his Masters in Computer Science from Western Michigan University in 2003 and BE in Computer Science from University of Madras in 2000. He continues to be actively involved in technology industry standards committees to promote open standards and interoperability among systems. Mr. Arumugam is currently focussed on working with governments and NGO’s in emerging markets to provide inclusive growth leveraging the power of information technology and e-governance.
