Jean-Luc Decornoy

In 1977 Mr. Jean-Luc Decornoy joined KPMG to rise to the position of Manager in 1984 and then Partner 4 years later. He was then appointed member of the managing board in 1993 before reaching the position he occupies today.

Mr. Jean-Luc Decornoy is a member of the Global and EMA boards of KPMG International as well as of the KPMG Global Executive Team.

During his distinguished career, Mr. Decornoy’s professional activities have covered a variety of fields of expertise, from Chartered Accounting and Audit Assignments for Paris-listed French companies through to special engagements in financial advisory services and particularly significant experience of the wholesale distribution and retail sectors. His client base boasts or boasted global companies of the stature of Carrefour, Pinault-Printemps-Redoute (PPR), Etam, Cap Gemini, Air France, DCN and EDF. He is also the President of the Financial Markets Commission (Département des Marchés Financiers) of the French National Statutory Auditors Institute (CNCC).

He was professor during 10 years at École Centrale Paris and ESSEC Business School where he taught finance.

Mr. Jean-Luc Decornoy graduated from ESSEC Business School. Besides, he was president of the ESSEC Alumni Association until 1st January 2010, and he organized a successfull fund raising campaign for the extension of this top European business school.
