Paul FERREIRA has recently founded Ideas Mean Business (start-up under development). Prior to this experience, Paul has worked for 2 years as a financial analyst for an investment bank in Brazil, and for 5 years as a strategy consultant and then a senior manager for an international consultancy in different European countries. Paul received his Master in France and an MBA from HEC Geneva.
Since 2010, Paul is at the same time a doctoral student & teaching assistant at University of Geneva in the chair of strategic management and a research associate at University of St-Gallen (HSG) in the fields of strategy, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
Further, he is part of the managing board of Swiss Strategy, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship Researchers (SwissSIER), which is a non-for-profit organization to enable the professional development of researchers in the areas of technology and innovation management, strategic management, and entrepreneurship. SwissSIER is a peer-to-peer community of doctoral and junior faculty researchers who are performing their doctoral studies at/or with Swiss universities.
As a researcher he is regularly meeting a broad range of entrepreneurs in Switzerland, France, and Portugal to discuss their challenges and how things could be improved.. Part of his dissertation has been accepted for presentation at the Strategic Management Society (SMS) Conference (Prague, 2012) and nominated for the Best Conference Paper Award – “Staying Agile in the Saddle: Ceo Tenure, Tmt Change, and Organizational Ambidexterity.”
