Marco Gorini

CEO at VoxCred S/A - Tenda Atacado Group

He specializes in strategy, finance and negotiation. Over the past 20 years, was entrepreneur in several projects, including a microfinance operation in Rio de Janeiro, a consulting for small and medium businesses and enterprise VoxCred S/A, private label card operator offered by commercial companies.

In the consulting firm, served in the segments of health, education, legal and financial, with a focus on restructuring liabilities, investment planning, expansion projects and project finance. In VoxCred, served for three years in the role of CFO and led the planning, implementation and development of the card used by customers of the Wholesale Group Tenda Atacado.

In 2008, after co-leading the negotiations for the acquisition of VoxCred by this group, assumed the CEO role, he coordinated the process of integrating the new business unit to that organization and went on to define the strategic guidelines and coordinate the team in credit and Financial Services Operations of Group Tenda Atacado.

Over the past five years, the Tenda´s card on average grows 60% a year, now serving 250 000 clients, including entrepreneurs and families in the Base of the Pyramid in São Paulo, Brazil. Recently, in G20Challenge, this business model was awarded as one of 15 most innovative and inclusive models of the world, an event coordinated by the World Bank, at the summit of G20 leaders in Los Cabos, Mexico.

As an executive of the Group Tenda, beyond the area of ​​credit risk and financial services, is responsible for the relationship with the financial market, having led the structuring of cash and investments for the Group's expansion in Brazil and Angola, with the BNDES and the major commercial banks operating in the country.

In this activity, helped the group to expand its sales of $300 million in 2007 to $900 million in 2012. Internationally, he led the first loan operation made by the IDB - Inter-American Development Bank for a private Brazilian company to invest in its credit operations for small entrepreneurs, in a business model with social impact. Were raised $ 10 million at this time.

He is an economist at PUC-RJ, with an Executive MBA in COPPEAD-UFRJ. He was speaker in national and international events related to social business, impact investing and base of the pyramid. He has published several articles on microfinance in national journals.

Since 2010, annually participates as guest of the Strategic Dialogue Partners, a meeting of government, business and social leaders, organized by the Interamerican Development Bank, to discuss guidelines and challenges related to business development with social impact

Actually leads the project Entrepreneurial Network, in Tenda Group, coordinating an alliance of organizations from the private sector, academia, NGOs, multilateral organizations and government.
