Kevin Meyerson

Kevin Meyerson is the co-founder of Rainbow Japan Inc. A long term resident of Japan, Kevin has decades of experience in the Japanese and Korean markets. Kevin is fluent in Japanese and a native English speaker. Over the past twenty-plus years he has founded three successful ventures - two in Japan and one in Korea - focused on digital media and technology.

Rainbow Japan is an award-winning and pioneering leader in the Japanese market for digital interactive media creative planning and production. Website clients include leading Japanese industrials and service companies including Sony, JR East Japan, Bennessee, Kyocera, Panasonic, Kao, and many others. The company also produces iOS applications based on a unique location based information database. Applications based on the database are used by millions of customers globally. Rainbow Japan also is a leader in CSR related business with its “Ecologift” tree planting gift certificates. Rainbow Japan was co-founded by Kevin in 1991 and continues to be a successful and creative enterprise.

Kevin also co-founded technology companies based in Japan and Korea focusing on music and entertainment content metadata and media recognition technologies. The company, founded in 2000, was successful in licensing music recognition technologies to nearly every Japanese and Korean consumer electronics company, as well as automotive suppliers. The technologies continue to be used by tens of millions of consumers worldwide. The companies were acquired by a US based technology licensing company in 2009.

Kevin is Vice Chairman of the Tourism Promotion Committee within the Keizai Doyukai (Japan Association of Corporate Executives), as well as a member of the CSR committee. He is one of very few non-Japanese members in the exclusive organization. Kevin is also a member of the Seikeidoshikai, an exclusive business executive group within which he is the only non-Japanese member.

Kevin studied business and international business at Arizona State University. He is also interested in environmental and human rights issues in business. Kevin’s is an avid fan of science fiction, technology, and spends far too much time playing with his two Cairn Terriers.
